havenstone, given the current unrest in Afghanistan, I wanted to post the word that I just heard from him and he's just fine, although looking forward to leaving the country in two weeks. He says that today was the crucial day, but it looks like the protests aren't spreading past the universities, and there's no university in his little town.
Sigh - _This_ is why we don't desecrate other people's holy books, people. Not just because it's morally reprehensible, though it is, and I believe against the Geneva Convention (Lawyers?), but because it puts our people in danger.
Off to my Grading Reward: An hour massage! Because I need it. So Many Bad Exams. Such Bad Essays. 14 descriptions of the accomplishments of the Emperor Augustus. Shoulders Fall Down Go Boom.
