Thought you might be interested or amused by this NYTimes article on songs about science or scientists. It prominently features a Williams college grad in L.A. who's in a band called Artichoke - ring any bells?
It also includes several links, including one to a whole archive of Physics Songs.
I'm going to go hide in my scroll-filled corner now. Another random pedagogical query, though - if you were taking a film class, with a set time for film screenings, would you be irritated or upset by having to watch 3.5 hour long movies?
