It's been ten days now since both A. and I stopped officially "working," and so far I've accomplished the following:

1. Read about 10 books, maybe more, including plowing my way through the free online copies of David Weber's Honor Harrington books. They're pretty decent space opera, if nothing special - but Bujold and BG fans might enjoy, as well, of course, as Forester fans.

2. Written up my syllabi for fall courses, though I haven't done much else on them.

3. Sorted through the Floor of Papers and Books, creating a full recycling bag of paper and a 3.5 foot tall stack of library books to return to Columbia.

4. Sorted through about 2/3rds of the Floor and Chairs of Clothes, packing 3 boxes and one suitcase of winter clothes plus bags of Salvation army and trash.

5. With A., mused about the casting possibilities of Gonzo Todd, the Muppet Barber of Fleet Street. (We're thinking Piggy as Lovett, Kermit as Frederick, Fozzie as Beadle, Camilla as the mad beggar woman?

Just think what we can do before September 19th when I start working???
