Well, we're just about to finish up our last weekend at the Junction, home, over the years, of many fine folks including julianyap, kidsnide, contrariety, and apintrix, and our traditional home away from home in Boston.

We were the first people to sleep at the Junction - before any of its actual residents, actually, and so it's sorta fitting that we wind up being its last guests. There are a lot of happy memories associated here - Tiktok's Omelette breakfasts with 10 people in the kitchen, formal-wear parties, mass Halo and Crazy Taxi sessions, the LOTR marathon, and a whole lot of great conversations. And kidsnide's birthday was a great final party.

But it's the end of an era, both for us and for this place. We're moving off to Chicago, and won't be dropping by Boston for random weekends anymore, though we'll be back now and then, of course. And the Junction, well - it had a good life, but it too grew and matured and changed, just as we did.

But I'll always remember waiting for an omelette in January while trying to find the one hot tile on the kitchen floor, and the scones with clotted cream, and my birthday party, and the secret hideout on the third floor, and the gorgeous polygony of the library, and the high thread count of Julian's guest sheets, and the high kill count of kidsnide's campaigns, and the Yeti.

The Junction is dead. Long live all of our new homes.
