Bad: I have no new tricks. I am sick. I feel like I'm undergoing someone else's awful hangover plus a fever and runny nose. It sucks.

Eowyn has a new trick. Eowyn has learned how to open doors that are only lightly closed so that I can pass through them easily with the baby without using the doorknob. Now Eowyn can pass through them too. We admire her resourcefulness, but it makes life much more inconvenient.

Goods: We decided to try having Mac sleep the whole night through in his crib in the nursery last night for the first time! It worked pretty well. He slept from 7 PM to 3 AM with only waking up briefly for a few minutes, crying, and going back to sleep. At 3 AM he started wailing, so I got him and fed him and put him back in the crib. Then he woke up again at 4:15 AM and cried for about half an hour; he's used to having nonstop feeding access from 3-6 AM. But then he went back to sleep and slept till 9:30 AM!

Link has some new tricks, like the hookshot, and other exciting things. Zelda is fun.

Cute: M. was playing with his little stuffed St. Bernard dog "Bernie," a gift of mrmorse, and really engaging with it for the first time. He took the dog and moved it along the bed like it was walking, and then, he rolled the dog over on its back and petted its belly. I think he's connecting playing with Bernie to playing with Eowyn. Of course, he did then lick the belly and then start chewing on a leg, but...
