Is anyone actually going to go watch Seeker (formerly known as The Dark is Rising) and if so, can you tell me whether or not I should or whether it will just make me even more upset that they ruined the book so badly?

If you're a Democrat, it's really hard not to have schadenfreude at a week that begins with the religious right threatening to splinter off from the Republicans, continues with Senator Larry "disorderly conduct" Craig deciding to stay on in the Senate despite his guilty plea, and ends with the wife of the President of Oral Roberts University being accused of running up $800/month phone bills from text messages on university cellphones to "underage males" between 1 AM and 3 AM who had been provided with their own phones at university expense.

I'm feeling good about 2008, I am. Of course, I said that in 2004. :(
