A brief last bit of political commentary and reflection on the Democratic Debate:
I was really really happy realizing that, whoever the Democratic candidate is, both possibilities are brilliant and passionate. I know, I know, I'm an elitist intellectual snob, but one of the more depressing factors about our current President (as opposed to his policies) has been the constant sense that, really, he'd rather be out running a baseball team or chopping up brush. Both Obama and Clinton are, I suspect, smarter than I am; they also clearly deeply desire to be President, not for the title and the fancy chair and the song, but because they get a massive endorphin rush from the idea of working on America and the world's problems.
I'm looking forward to having a President whose mind and work ethic I can respect again.
Go vote on Tuesday!
