I've been thinking a bunch about television lately, in my random spare moments, and last night we watched the Chuck Christmas episode, which endeared itself to CP and me because of its Interesting Moral Choices.
So here's the question of the day: What's your favorite Christmas or winter holiday episode of a tv show?
My favorite would probably have to be West Wing, Season I: In Excelsis Deo, which is both beautiful and reminds of the point of Christmas and that, in life, there is also death. Plus it's got great use of music.
A totally different way of treating Christmas traditions and cliches that also worked well was Doctor Who's The Christmas Invasion, which taught me to look at Christmas trees in a whole new light...
In other random commentary, why does anyone still choose to live in the Whoverse's Cardiff, I ask, having just finished Torchwood, Season 2? London I can understand (except on Christmas) - it's the capital and economic center of Britain and lots of people rather need to live there. But really, at this point, if you live in the Whoverse Cardiff, aren't you thinking "maybe we could move to London? Or Glastonbury? or, heck, Liverpool? Much less likely to get mauled by demons or exploded in Liverpool, you are..."
