What is the world coming to?

The New York Times Travel section today has a guide to gaming and sci-fi cons.

Sadly, they go a little heavy on the cosplay and strange choices of cons (have any of you _been_ to MidSouthCon?) but still, um, I guess it's a step forward towards acceptance?
