So, I was a little suspicious about some of the wording in a Wikipedia article I assigned on Marcia, the mistress of Commodus, who I'm also in the midst of a scholarly article on. (I did all my research on her years before assigning this piece, don't worry.) So I Googled some of her phrases, only to discover that the article, after she wrote it, apparently had an impact on a high school girl in Singapore, who excerpted it on her blog.

The world's a smaller and smaller place, and things I do can have impacts I never imagined.
