Whether you're interested in media, politics, U.S. history, or any of the above, you really need to check out "The Living Room Candidate" from the American Museum of the Moving Image. They have all the presidential campaign commercials from 1952-2004, and some of them are just amazing insights into the times and places of American politics. I didn't know that JFK had such a strong Boston accent that I had trouble understanding the word "kan-keh." I didn't realize that Daisy wasn't an isolated ad - Johnson's whole campaign theme was "if you vote for Goldwater, your children will DIE." And the Mrs. Reagan 1980 one is also supposed to be awesome. Have fun checking it out.
