Goods and Bads

Good: Yay! We have a president I voted for, who I'm excited about, who is smart and caring and going to work to fix the many problems of this country.

Bad: Even Barack Obama can't stop me from having the stomach flu, which is The Nasty.

Good: Just finished awesome week of visit from ladybird97.

Bad: Now have two handsworth of unemployed friends, which I haven't had since 2002. :( My sympathies to all of them and confidence they will get another job where their many skills and talents will be recognized.

OK. That's the limit of my energy. Back to the bed/bathroom run.

What Obama can do for *you*

A friend of mine commented recently that people seem to feel a very personal connection to Obama and to think that he will affect their personal lives very soon, e.g., "I want Obama to lower my mortgage payments." I replied that I wanted him to come over and babysit. Sounds like you need him to bring you some chicken soup.
