But can I say how reassuring it is to get back from Thanksgiving feasting and find a letter in the mail telling me that my cholesterol has _dropped_ by over 60 and my only problem now is that my good cholesterol is a little _low_?

Not that I shouldn't still lose a bunch of weight, but it's good to know all that whole wheat bread isn't for nothing.

Short Thanksgiving: Dad good though I'm a bit worried about his health. Brother and sister-in-law good but increasingly stressed about lack of baby after 3 years of trying. Sister-in-law's mother, host of Thanksgiving, great cook but stressful conversationalist. [livejournal.com profile] fajitasand [livejournal.com profile] pseudosilence and [livejournal.com profile] antoniusrex immense amounts of fun to hang out with and game - and very useful commentary on Aalterdam! [livejournal.com profile] darkforge and his lady-friend were brunchalicious. Seeing [livejournal.com profile] retsuko was great and I hope that yebisu9 gets to join her soon. And last but not least, baby tiger cubs at the San Diego Zoo - so sweet.

Whole wheat bread is the pure and ultimate form of bread and eating it should be its own reward, but I'm glad to hear it helped with your cholesterol too.

Do tell--how did the high school reunion go?

Wound up ditching the reunion as all the people who had RSVPed were the ones who stuck gum in my hair when I was 12, and spent more time with retsuko instead. Not really feeling sorry about that. :)

And I _like_ a good baguette.

Eat brown rice and whole wheat pasta a little more often and then treat yourself to that baguette!

And yeah, I'd have ditched the reunion under those circumstances too; at least the girls who stuck gum in my hair either changed schools or dropped out....

Well, part of me is curious as to what Brian M is doing these days...but if you had gone and socked him in the jaw a few times, I wouldn't have complained.

My high school reunion was highly entertaining, though. Some things change, and some people I couldn't stand ended up being very wonderful adults.

But some things don't. The reunion king and queen were still the ASB president and his girlfriend. The only difference is the kid they now have.

He wound up going to a different high school, so I've got no clue, actually.
