Thoughts from the Cold

1. Small fluffy dogs should not wear black leather coats, even if it is really cold and is Manhattan.

2. Another previously undiscovered use for husbands: They own big, large, floofy sweaters that can be worn over my four other inner layers.

3. Apparently, my "British accent" is much more pronounced when I'm heavily bundled up. To the extent that someone from England asked me yesterday what area of England I was from.

4. One can also use the tops of other people's heads as a useful way to get your own hands warm.

And, because it's too funny not to include, something from yesterday's reading material:
"I want to meet the man who decided, sometime back, during a week of heavy rain, that the regularly scheduled children's programs on public television would be preempted in favor of the confirmation hearings for Justice William H. Rehnquist. This decision found kids across America, mine among them, saying of Chief Justice Rehnquist was has perhaps never been adequately expressed about him before: "He not Cookie Monster."
