Hey, it's time for my annual big plug/reminder for Anonycon, the gaming convention this weekend (Dec 14th-16th) in Stamford, CT that I helped found and which is now run by
banana_pants.
Why should you come to Anonycon?
1. The games! We've got prison breakouts, Yale secret society shenanigans, heroic mischievous 1st graders, deadly plagues, moralistic Mormon detectives, and much more, including buckets of Living Greyhawk, if you're into that.
2. The people! Well, I'll be there, obviously. But so will other awesome farflung folk, like
darkforge and Reyn Jones, one of the two best GMs I've played with. (
viking_cat is the other, but he can't come.) There will be great hanging out and cute kids and lots of escapism!
3. The location! Stamford is not that far from anywhere in the Northeast. The hotel is comfortable and pleasant, and there are plenty of food options nearby.
You can spend this weekend sitting around in miserable freezing weather or braving the mall hordes in holiday shopping, or you can spend it amongst friends (and we've even got a dealer's room for geek shopping) having immense amounts of fun playing great games. I know which I'm choosing!
If you are coming and interested in playing our games, sign up quick, because they're selling out fast! Still, usually a few spaces materialize on site.
