So, as of January 2008, I will have presented at the national conference in my field four times. On de facto toleration of incest in Roman Egypt, pornography for married couples in Pompeii, incest in HBO's Rome, and...the "August" issue of Neil Gaiman's _Sandman_ comic. Furthermore, they're interested in potentially publishing it as part of an edited volume on classics and comics. Much thanks to everyone who offered advice, especially retsuko. Once I actually write the paper I'll ask for more opinions and suggestions on how to turn a comic into Powerpoint.

I guess I'm just broadening my horizons beyond sex to "low culture?"

Also, this morning I evaded the hordes of resellers to wind up with the Very Last Wii at the second Tar-zhay. And Zelda is very cool.

Maybe February is turning around. Anyways, I'll enjoy my blessings while I can.
