The snow is piled so deep in our front yard that when Eowyn tried to pee, her whole butt hit the snow.

It has snowed at least every other day since the last week of January.

Yesterday was the first day in two weeks to break 20 degrees.

Claremont Mckenna has interviews "in progress" according to the Wiki, which is Not A Good Sign.

I'm so tired. I've been having those nights where I'm really exhausted but my brain is too stressed and active to actually let me fall asleep.

But the Rome game begins today, and then I go teach a 1933 Busby Berkeley movie and 7Brides for 7 Brothers and History of the World, Part I.

You get to teach 7 Brides for 7 Brothers? I love that movie. Everyone should be able to relate to the snow number very well.

Remember, it can't snow forever.

Just the Sabine Women number, sadly, but you're right. :)

There are some extinct dinosaurs that might disagree about that snowing forever thing. :) I am hoping it stops sometime soon.

My brain's been doing the exact same thing lately--can't sleep, yet know I must. :( Much sympathy your way.

*hugs*

My therapist gave a a list of exercises to do to quiet the mind. Unfortunately, the list isn't handy at the moment, but I'll see if I can send it to you eventually.

Meanwhile, the one I liked best and so remember was to imagine yourself on a black couch, with black cushions in a room painted black with a black carpet on the floor. The key is to imagine it in as much detail as possible. When you have that in your head, start fading into the darkness.

The idea is to give yourself something to think about that isn't the thing you're worried about and is generally emotionally neutral. I liked the black room one because I liked to imagine myself curled up on the couch. I tried to get the detail good enough so that I could feel the texture of the fabric on the couch. Comfy, but doesn't get my mind racing about things good or bad.

Hugs & Good luck with everything! Winter will be over soon.
