Nice manipulation of Mr. Misogynist Rocky there, Anthony -"dude, I hate women so much that I will even think I am bonding with the guy who I totally trashed before, because we can talk about how silly women are!" Sorry you had to take out Rita, but nice job of survival. And I'm unsurprised you had no problem with Memory (unlike Mr. Misogynist.)

And wow, I mean, Ravu has its irritating people, but I'm kinda glad you're not on the team with the two Junior-High-Mean-and-Dumb-Girls, Lisi and Stacey.

I think, after Anthony, I'm hoping for Cassandra, Earl, Alex, and Yau-man, cuz they actually seem like decent people. I was startled that it had to be pointed out by someone on TWOP that Moto is ostracizing the two black people, whereas Ravu is at least not making its judgements racially, although the gender politics are really getting to me.

And once again, I ask, who the hell thought this setup was a good idea? You could see how ridiculous it was with the sumo wrestling. You've got plenty of strong people on your team, but going up against a well-fed, well-rested team? Not a chance.

I'm glad you at least tried to get necessities.

Yeah, I was thinking about the sumo challenge that on the slippery muddy thing, heavier person always wins unless the smaller person sprints full out at them first thing. And in every single matchup except Yau-Man's, Moto had the visibly heavier person.

As far as the racial ostracization goes, I think in this case it can be argued that it is in fact personality more than race. Dreamz is a bit of a socially inept freak, and Cassandra seems to be the oldest, least fit, and mildest. But yeah, Stacy and Lisi are being such bitches. I did feel bad for Dreamz that he didn't know the difference between instant and real coffee. That just points out his background, I think.

And people, you can totally drink coffee made with grounds right in the cup if you just give it a chance to settle.

While I haven't yet watched this episode, my analysis of Moto is that it's all about the 5-person cabal. It happened that the two black people on the team weren't in it; maybe that was racism, or maybe the social reasons Jen mentioned. But since there were originally 9 in the tribe, the first 4 to go will be the ones not in the cabal. So if anything, it's lack of racism that kept the black people around that long. (Actually, it was Gary having health problems and Lisi gunning for Liliana that did it, but hey.) And it's not really a surprise that the cabal wouldn't feel like talking to the cannon fodder, although I'd have hoped for more social grace.

And Ori, my money'd sadly be on Cassandra to be the next one out of Moto, if that ever happens again... :(

I did finally figure out their Exile Island strategy, though, I think. Sylvia mentioned that the 5-person cabal was originally a 10-person cabal, and that's why she split the tribes up the way she did, to try and break it up, because she knew that the "older folks" - herself, Yau-man, Gary, and Cassandra - weren't in that alliance.

So, clearly, the Ravu cabal half hasn't lasted. But let's theorize on who it was - Not Anthony, I'm guessing. Not Yau-man or Sylvia. So I'm guessing Michelle, Earl, Erica, Mookie, and maybe Rita, maybe Rocky.

So I think that what Moto is quixotically doing is trying to help out Earl, their main perceived "ally," make it to the merge, so that he'll vote with them. This is stupid, because I suspect Earl is much more interested in self-preservation than in helping out a bunch of people who've been living it up for the past two weeks, but it does vaguely make sense if they have faith in their alliance.

Still, I'm betting either Earl or Alex win it in the end.

If this is true, things begin to make a lot more sense. But the players should realize that the larger the alliance, the weaker the bonds. It's interesting to see the beginnings of two sub-alliances within the "Alliance of 5": Alex and Edgardo, Lisi and Stacey. When "Dreamz" and Cassandra are gone, I don't think Boo is long for the game.
