No, actually, at Muirlands, in 8th grade (I probably didn't tell you cuz you were at LJHS?). This girl who for some reason had developed a hatred of me - used to like to stick gum in my hair and things - finally challenged me during some dull moment in gym class to a fight, out on the football field, undoubtedly thinking I'd cower and slink away and she'd have some satisfaction. But for some reason, I just shrugged and said, "okay," and dropped into some vague approximation of a fighting stance, fists up to protect my face, and she backed down and made some insulting remark and went off with her friends. It was largely a non-incident, and I don't even remember her name.
