No, no, I think Ddore is Nice But Not Good, actually - totally willing to have this front of the joke-playing, candy-eating, amiable prof, and actually totally cynical and manipulative. He doesn't love Harry at all. He's human, yes, and his temptations make sense - but I don't think, to quote Hermione, that Dumbledore would taste very yummy.
