orichalcum at 03:04pm on 16/10/2007 under academiaToday, A. gets a free lunch at work. Why, might you ask? Because today is National Boss Day. That's right, it's the day to thank all those people who toil endless hours without any credit or fair pay...wit a minute.
I _was_ going to rant about National Sweetest Day, which is Saturday and was advertised on the radio this morning as basically the new Boyfriend/Girlfriend day (I guess for people who can't pin down an anniversary?), but Boss Day has just eclipsed it.
I mailed off book proposals! Yay me! I hate the post office and the length of time and forms and money it takes to send 6 pages of typed paper to England these days, but it's done! Now to start working on the 12 applications due by November 2nd.
