Goods and Bads
Bads:
The annnoying Touchy-Feely Student from my Roman History section decided to take my summer class because he thought I was such a great teacher.
I'm feeling tired and unmotivated dissertation-wise.
I hate dealing with library reserves.
I still have vertigo. Our GM over the weekend arranged all these shiny glass gems in a circle to represent the crunchies attacking us, and after a few hours, they were spinning whenever I looked at them.
Goods:
I have 8 interesting and cool students in my summer course, ranging from a biomedical post-doc wanting something different to a Latinophile high school senior to a South Asian studies grad student. This should be fun. I think the opening lecture went well, too.
In the end of a 10.5 year D&D campaign, we changed the world into a hopefully better world, and my character survived without permanent brain damage! Maybe I can finally erase my brain damage curse!
I got to spend two weekends hanging out with
fajitas, who I don't get to see nearly often enough. Last night on DS9, we figured out why he likes that show so much - both Jake and Nog share
fajitas' sense of fashion and color.
We have a vice-presidential candidate who I can actually cheer for! His little kids are cute too. Democrats - the Good Hair party...

Oo, and I managed to survive with my right hand intact, too! Although I suppose the question of whether I had a father-figure in peril is sort of ambiguous, considering all the confusion with my ancestors that was created by the multiple timelines...

If we're in the later seasons, I don't object so much.

(And hi, Spyscribe! I didn't know you were reading LJ. It's cool to see you around - I'm looking forward to meeting you in person!)

Brain damage curse
Not if I have anything to say about it.
Bloodcore memorizations all round, next game!
