Okay then....

So, I've been really skeptical of the whole "Hillary's campaign is also Bill running for a third term" meme, because I think it's very insulting to an extremely intelligent and politically ambitious woman.

But Mr. Clinton really isn't helping her case when he says things like, ""Think what being president's like. They play a song every time you walk into the room." After he left office, "nobody played a song anymore," he said. "I didn't know where I was."

This election is not about getting you "Hail to the Chief" back, Mr. Clinton. There's a two-term limit established in the Constitution. You're not FDR. Deal.

I actually think Bill is in a really tough position. No one has ever had to play husband-to-a -presidential-candidate before. He can't really pull of the hug-children-and-wave trope of a presidential wife, but people freak out whenever he tries to act like a political advisor or partner. (Although, to be fair, they did that to Hillary when she was First Lady, too.)
Anyway, I'm not defending his behavior as good, I just think it must be hard for him to find the right line to walk.

I agree that it's a tough line. But he's a brilliant politician - making it sound like he's lusting to regain the trappings of power is just a silly move.

A brilliant politician with a long history of lack of self-control. And that particular move was definitely dumb.

Have you seen this then?
