I saw him in the Tempest when I was in high school. The performance was good enough that over a decade later it's still pretty memorable. I think it's possible we drove to New York for it. That seems unlikely for a high school field trip, but I just checked and wikipedia says he played on broadway in 1995, so we must have. I hope I slept on the bus.

So did I; it was almost as good as his 1-man Christmas Carol.

I'm having trouble imagining a 1-man Christmas Carol, but I have no doubt he's one of a very small number of people that could pull it off.

There was one point where he lay on a table and pretended to snore for two minutes and had the entire audience's rapt attention.

If he ever revives it, absolutely go see it.

Wow, I love that guy! The alphabet song is particularly hilarious.

The Sesame Street clip just really drives home what perfect voice control he has, even in the service of silliness. I have got to see him in a live Shakespeare someday.

AH HAHA HAHAHAHAHAAAA! Hee! Thank you!

Did you see the clip YouTube also brings up of him helping the Count reign in an errant number? I should've seen the punchline coming, but I didn't. :)

Well, it's a good thing to have on your mind, and may your reign be long and triumphant!

And yes, I did - "Number 1!"
