I agree completely with everything you said and I think you said it better than I could. I'll only add one selfishly motivated comment--why is the picture of a woman mathematician with a bunch of equations, when they only discuss lab sciences in the article? The evidence within math itself as I have seen presented by numerous researchers disagrees completely with the article. There is substantial evidence of both a "leaky pipeline" and an actual decline in percentage of women faculty in the last 20 years. Not to mention the TONS of anecdotal (at least) evidence that I am aware of that there is still discrimination against women mathematicians at every level.

Of course, that would disagree with their conclusions, wouldn't it? This article is just going in my mental file of evidence of discrimination, quite frankly.
