Today marks the 350th anniversary of the first Jews arriving in America, in New Amsterdam, in fact. My Jewish ancestors didn't get here until 1941, but it's still nice to note and celebrate such an early immigration.

On three things the world stands:
On Torah,
On service [of God],
And on acts of human kindness.
