So, Mac's current favorite Youtube video is this one from the classic days of Sesame Street, when some of us were actually watching (Totally safe for work).

Although, as CP says, it does explain why they use Elmo these days instead of real 3-year-olds, it's hard to watch without giggling, at least for me. Mostly because of Kermit's total indignation.

In other, semi-related news, Mac's experimenting again with calling his parents different names. For me, this is mostly my actual first name, sometimes with an H- attached to the front.

For CP, he's adopted one of the names I use, and will now periodically bellow out (often from the bathroom), "Hey love!" or just "Love!!!"

All the exams are over. Now to grade them....

Humph. That's almost as bad as havenstone, who nicknamed me (based on the Latin name for the herb that I'm named after, plus my academic interests) "Pimpinella.")

OMG that's my favorite sketch!

My favorite is when he says "I'm leaving!" and leaves, and she says, "...I love you!"

Still gets me every time.

Mac's started responding to reprovals with "I love you" in just that tone of voice. It's devastating.

I love that sketch! I remember that sketch!

...and it never before occurred to me that it didn't turn out exactly the way the director intended... doh!

As an adult and a parent, I'm pretty sure the graphics were added in later, and Kermit was doing an awesome job of improv-ing with a suddenly creative 3-year-old. :)

David went through a period of calling us "Cris and Hon" instead of my name. He even introduces us, "This is my mom, Hon."

Kids are cute.
