So, last night, I'm putting Mac to bed. "What story do you want to read first?"
Mac answers, inevitably, "Curious George Takes a Train!"
I sigh. "Really? You're sure?"
Mac looks at me, grins, and says "I shock! I shock!"

He'd been saying that for a few days, under various circumstances where a lack of surprise was the correct response, and I hadn't figured out what the heck he was talking about. But last night, I got it. He's quoting a classic movie. Well, quoting us quoting a classic movie.

How easy it it for other folks to decipher Mac-speak in this case?

Nope...it's a little much for him yet. CP and I just have a habit of using that line when relevant.

OTOH, my parents refused to let me attend my junior high school graduation until I had seen Casablanca. :)

I LOVE THIS BOY. He needs a tiny French military uniform.

Today, he demanded chocolate for breakfast. I told him that you could only have chocolate for breakfast in Paris. His response was predictable. :)
