Department of Just Not Getting the Appeal

Does anyone else look at this picture and just think, "Brrr"? I mean, if it makes them happy, fine, but...while they talk about the importance of wearing a hat and gloves and boots, I tend to like my other vulnerable bits covered as well!

I also tend to agree with the people later in the article who complain about it being a regularly trafficked trail. I have to admit I'd be a bit startled if I was hiking along and suddenly had to spend 15 minutes hiking in full view of someone's bottom.

Actually I'm pretty ok with it. I don't particularly like to walk for 15 minutes in full view of someone's Ugg boots or muffin top either, but I'm not going to try to stop them from wearing them. I think the USA's issues with "non-sexual nudity" are pretty ridiculous. Not that I'm going to be a nudist hiker any time soon, because I like to be able to sit on a stump without getting dirt in...certain places.

Put like that, I see your point, but I do think it would be distracting. Not "OMG No!" but not something I'd want to encounter on a narrow trail where I needed to focus.

And yeah - what about sitting down, or climbing up rocks? I like me some good denim or corduroy not as modesty but as actual protection in such a circumstance?

I don't have problems with nudity, I have problems with discomfort...

That looked like snow. Quite a lot of it.

They have lost their fricking minds. . . and I wouldn't be surprised if the fingertips and other parts weren't next to go.
