So, in my dream last night, I was a contestant in a Beauty-and-the-Geek like reality show (although my partner was my old college acquaintance Anne G., which is rather insulting to her intelligence) and wound up being asked the following trivia question* under the rubric of Popular Culture:
"This person's head, removed from their body during their execution in England in 1666, was recently bought at auction by a famous Las Vegas star for 1 million dollars."
I was stumped, dear reader. I finally said "Mary, Queen of Scots," even though I was pretty sure that was wrong. Then I thought maybe they meant Charles I, except presumably the Brits aren't so financially desperate that they're auctioning off their kings' heads.
Anyone have any clue what my bizarre subconscious was thinking about? I was so embarassed about my failure in the dream.
*: Or answer, rather; apparently I dream in Jeopardy style.
