Today is, apparently, National Nap Day. Of course, I started today by waking up at 2 AM to a fussy and crying baby, moving him out to the crib in the nursery-office when he wouldn't stop crying, going back to sleep, waking up again at 5 AM when he started crying again, nursing him back to sleep, waking up at 6 AM when Adam's alarm went off, going back to sleep, waking up at 7:30 AM when Adam wanted to discuss plans for the day before leaving for work, going back to sleep, waking up at 8:25 when the doorbell rang with the guy needing to collect quarters from the laundry machine in the basement, going sort of back to sleep, waking up at 9:30 to take a quick shower before waiting for the groceries to arrive, and now it's 11:17 AM, I'm about to run off to a work lunch, 3 straight hours of teaching, some of which will involve a visit from a professor who's flown down from Michigan to see how the Rome game works, a run home to walk the dog and nurse the baby, and then out to a dinner party and home at 9:30 PM.
I mean, maybe I'm supposed to count all the interrupted morning sleep as naps? Anyways, get some shut-eye for me, if you have a chance.
