So, two days ago, Barack Obama prayed at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. As is the custom, he placed his written paper in a crack in the wall.

A yeshiva student stole the prayer and sold it to an Israeli paper, which published it yesterday.

I'm not going to link to the text, because I'm pretty darn offended that this happened - although there wasn't anything objectionable in the prayer itself.

I know politicians are aware that they give up their privacy when they run for office.

But giving up the right to private prayers to God??? You might as well film him in his bedroom having sex with his wife.

If I were that student's teacher, well....there would be an enormous amount of reading in his future.

I am completely unwilling to get cosmetic surgery in order to be your bridesmaid. I'm sorry if this will hurt anyone's current or future plans, but perhaps you have other friends who are willing to get implants or Botox in order to fulfill your wedding dreams, and I'll understand entirely if you leave me out of consideration for such reasons.

Just to clarify, I know no one personally who is thinking of doing this (for that matter, I have no bridesmaid duties scheduled). I just wanted to make my position clear for future reference, to avoid trouble later on.

But it's also ridicullously cute: Pre-schoolers stage Obama rally!

I have always had a ridiculous number of friends and relatives born this particular week. I guess, um, lots of great Halloween parties? Or something.
