It never occurred to me that students in college actually made these sorts of errors. I assumed that the examples in grammatical humor books were anomalies. But I suppose that different people focus on different things in their lives, and some just don't gain writing prowess (hee!) along the way. Bless you for slogging through this stuff!
Awesome userpic. These are actually far from the worst writers I've graded; they just happen to be humorous. You can get into a good college with extremely poor writing skills these days, as far as I can tell.
