Random post of the day...

When you're sleeping on your side, with or without a partner, what do you do with the bottom arm? I feel like I've been consistently waking up with sore or stiff arm muscles, but I have yet to find a really comfortable posture.

Random funny baby moment: I'm waiting to do a Monthday post until I can get good video of Mac turning on the radio and dancing, his latest hobby. Unfortunately whenever he sees me taping he stops and focuses on smiling at himself on the computer, the narcissist. :)

Still, I needed to share a moment from Sunday. I asked [livejournal.com profile] cerebralpaladin to get Mac dressed and ready to go outside. He decided it would be fun to let Mac pick out his own outfit.

The results? Periwinkle blue onesie, yellow-green-blue polkadot capri-length leggings, , navy-blue horizontally striped socks, and a black corduroy jacket. And that was before I insisted that he put on the necessary bright red winter coat and blue snow boots.

I felt like I needed an emergency response team of "Queer Eye for the Straight Baby." I guess he'll never be a fashion designer. :)

Awwwwwww. That is adorable :) Baby Fashion Victim! (I like the polka-dot pants, though. Aren't those the ones from [livejournal.com profile] outlawradio? Such a hip piece of a baby-wardrobe...except maybe not with the striped socks.)

Oh, I love the pants...I loved them even more when he was wearing them at 6 months, their official size. It's just that with the striped socks and over a romper...

Actually, the blue of the onesie looks like it matches the blue in the pants pretty well. Also, I had a weirdly disconcerting moment wondering where Mac's extra sneaker was coming from, until I realized that the foot and leg in the background belonged to [livejournal.com profile] cerebralpaladin on the other side of the room. The size is all weird...

But the socks! And the massive expanse of bare leg when going outside into 30-degree weather! And...fine. I guess I'm a minority here.

I actually think it looks pretty daring! I like it.

Mac is a fashionista, all the way! I'm diggin' it!

LOL.

I was wondering whether anyone had beat me to posting that. :)

Me too. :-)

I think he looks cute! But then, I'm a bit of a fashion victim myself.

What do I do with my arm? I, uh, lie on it? Or, rather, I lie on my shoulder, my arm out in front of me. It doesn't hurt my arm, so I can't really offer you a tip, here.

Aw, little Mac! I don't think that outfit is *that* out there! I have a couple of issues of In Style that would make Mac look like a relatively normal fashion designer. ;D

I either lie on the arm, or lie kind of diagonally, with one arm around my sweetie and the other away from him. It hurts after a while, and usually I suggest that we roll over then.

For sleeping on my side alone, I usually tuck the hand of the lower arm into the neck of my shirt by the upper shoulder. I find this keeps me from rolling onto the actual arm and causing it to fall asleep, and also keeps it from flopping into an uncomfortable position. For cuddling, yeah, I don't think there's a great solution to the "fourth arm problem." If you find one that doesn't involve a hole in the bed, let us all know. :)

I put my arm up under my head, generally under the pillow. Or I extend it so that it's pointing straight out in front of me, also generally under pillows.

I find that smashing my face onto my crooked arm works pretty well.

Although it leads to breakouts and a stiff neck- my shoulder is fine!
