I don't get it--isn't this ad going to be rather offputting to a lot of his base? Or is this a limited release, good-ole-boys-only ad?

I particularly like how they read the honor code aloud--wrong. Why did they feel the need to change the word "will" into "shall", while showing the words with "will" on the screen?

One commenter (Yglesias?) suggests that "shall" sounds more Biblical and is thus an oblique shout-out to the religious right.

I understand the oratorical power of "shall," but the way they did it it just looks like the voiceover guy can't read.
